Ok so you've found your new home business. And everyone has heard of "work smarter not harder". So just how do you do that and avoid the common pitfalls of any new small or home business. How do you save yourself from falling into the same traps?
Well if you know what they are, you stand a chance of avoiding them. Not all - you'll still fall right into some and possibly invent some new ones of your own but forewarned is forearmed!
So here are the four MOST common things to crop up in the first 3-9 months in your new business. And how to fix them!
Mistake number one:
Not following a proven, tested plan to set your business up.
We assume you'll need a tested and proven plan to follow (unless you've run your own successful home business before). Most good home businesses will provide this, along with the training to get it set up. However... it is up to YOU to actually follow that training! If you don't follow it, or deviate, change too much or just skip parts of it there's a strong chance your business won't "work" and get off the ground in the first 6 months at all.
The reason a proven, tested plan is so important. Is that it should show you the right amount of activity to do to get customers, and generate income. The biggest worry of starting any new home business is "how will I get customers". The answer is pick a business with a plan to show you EXACTLY what to do, (and how much of it) to get your customers. And then follow that plan. If the plan says you should place 50 ads of one sort or another. And you place 2 ads. Guess what? You won't get the response you want. So pay attention to the plan and check your numbers match up.
Mistake number two:
Letting distractions come in and dropping your focus.
