What's it Mean to Be Your Best?.

I'm often asked what SuccessNet is all about. I've probably come up with a hundred different answers and have never been totally satisfied with any one of them.
There are a lot of ways to describe what we do, but the one I use most often is similar to our mission statement. It goes like this: "SuccessNet is designed to help people achieve their full and unique potential, to be their best--both personally and professionally."
It's different for different people because everyone has a unique and special purpose. And it's up to each of us to discover and then fulfill that purpose.
What inspires me is the difference people make in the world by what they do, what they say, who they are and what they stand for.
Socrates said, "The unexamined life isn't worth living." But others have countered, "The unlived life isn't worth examining." I agree with both.
It's about balance. If all we do is study, philosophize and contemplate, we've not fully lived. And if we only DO things--filling our lives with activity with no meaning or self examination, we have also failed to fully experience this plane of existence.
We need both. We need purpose and meaning.
I can think of no greater pain than to be lying on my death bed not knowing if I'd made a difference, having regrets about things left undone or wondering what it was all for.
So how do we live full out? How do we fulfill our purpose?
Two words: Diligence and Consistency.
You can't do it in a day or a weekend. Like a good weight loss program, you have to be consistent. And you have to do it yourself--it can't be delegated.
